Gulfport Goes Green Grows
This month Gulfport Goes Green grows with several new community events.
- Book Swap hosted by Small Adventures Book Shop
- Computer Recycling at The Gulfport Technology Center
- Battery Recycling at The Outpost
- Clothing Swap by LocalShops1 to benefit the Salvation Army Woman’s Shelter (thanks to BoTiki for the space)
- Florida Blood Services was on hand accepting blood donations
Brief morning showers again greeted vendors and performers as they were setting up but quickly faded to a sporadically overcast day. Several older computers and bags of batteries were turned over for recycling. The clothing swap began with a generous donation of from Spinderella Steele. (Thanks Jenn) Lots of good clothing for people to browse. The book swap was a success as many walked away with new reading material.
All these events will return bigger and better next month! Stay tuned as Gulfport Goes Green Grows bigger and better
